Foster updates: Okowa and Koten

Goodbye Okowa
Goodbye Okowa

Okowa has finally been adopted! It is such a wonderful news because  Okowa had already spent one year in the ARK shelter in Osaka. A lot of people have doubt adopting her because of her age. But one month after she moved to Tokyo, she finally found a forever home. Her adopter is a lovely young couple who already has a couple of chihuahua. We are so happy for Okowa.

After Okowa left, we took care of Koten, a five tears old male Maltese-Poodle mix. He only spent one week in our house because someone is already got interested in him. Koten started his trial period a couple of days ago, I hope everything will be fine and they will fall in love with him. His time in our house didn’t go very well because he and Fuwawa didn’t get along.

Koten has been passed around to different owners before so he always asked for attention. I think he feels insecure all the time. On the other hand, Fuwawa is easily stressed so Koten’s behavior got on her nerves. I had to separate them, otherwise Koten would bark at Fuwawa, and in turn she would start urinating out of fear.

This week was rather stressful for all of us so I was kinda relieved now that Koten is no longer here. I feel a bit guilty though for feeling that way, after all he was just a neglected dog who wants some love. I hope now he is getting all the love and attention that he deserves!
