A couple of dresses

A couple of days ago I went fabric shopping, and got so inspired that I made them into a couple of dresses already. I’ve been losing my sewing mood due to hot weather lately so I really felt satisfied with myself after making these two. The orange one is made with out of print Vogue 8313 and the dark one is Vogue 8728. Unfortunately my computer is having some problem, the monitor won’t show anything. My husband said it’s the graphic card and he will fix it tonight. I guess there won’t be any decent post until then. This one […]

Black Lingerie set

I’ve been making lingerie for sometime now, and my drawer is happily filled with pink, blue, peach, red, polka dot and floral ones when I realized that I didn’t have a black one. You know, an ordinary black lace set, which every woman should have. For the pattern, I used Merckwaerdigh Mix30. From the pattern envelope: ‘Pattern MIX30 from Dutch design Merckwaerdigh with a good supporting underwired bra, lovely hipster pantie & all […]

Mission Maxi Dress #2

Since I made my grey Mission Maxi dress, I’ve been wearing it everyday that I’m sure my husband is tired of seeing me in that dress. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, in this case, I have to wash that dress once in a while. So here comes another Mission Maxi! I’m officially in love with this pattern. This is like the easiest sewing I’ve ever done, sew the straps – sew the bindings – sew the sides of dress, and within half an hour I got a pretty and comfortable dress. The fabric is double-gauze […]

Mission Maxi dress

The heat is still on and I don’t know how everyone else do some sewing these days. The other day, I was browsing my pattern stash longingly when this pattern caught my attention. It was Mission Maxi sewing pattern by Jamie Christina that I got as part of my Spring Top prize last year. The pattern is quite simple, a maxi-length jersey dress with only 2 pattern pieces for view A and B. I figured this would be the perfect dress to make in this weather. I’ve seen this pattern made around the sewing blogs before -check out these pretty […]
