I sewed something today! No, not a dress, but a lingerie bodysuit. I was always curious with this type of lingerie, but couldn’t bring myself to buy something so expensive that I wouldn’t wear often. The pattern is Merckwaerdigh PBH30 that I won sometime ago at Merckwaerdigh ebay auction. The pattern is for push-up underwired bra, bustier, bodysuit, and thong bodysuit. The fabric and notions are also from Merckwaerdigh, but the tiny bow and the hook and eye set is from Yuzawaya. I should have used white hook and eye set, but that was I had in hand at the moment. Although I usually […]

Black and white lingerie set
I always get nervous before going on a trip, and sewing is a way to calm myself. It is sort of like meditation to me because I have to put other thoughts aside and concentrate on this particular task. Of course I should be packing instead of sewing, but…. *sigh* Anyway, this is what I came up with last night, a lingerie set of one bra and two panties in black and white. The pattern is Merckwaerdigh Mix30 for both the bra and panties. This is a multisize pattern with the description as follows: Pattern MIX30 from Dutch design Merckwaerdigh with a good […]
My first lingerie set
I finally finished my bra! It is a matching set with the panties that I made a couple of days ago. The bra pattern is bought from Elingeria and it is called Pin-up Girls Classic Bra #1230. This is a pattern for a classic bra with full band that can be made with or without underwires. The instruction booklet is really helpful and perfect for a newbie like me. I don’t like bra with underwires or padded cups, so I choose to make mine without underwires. According to the instruction booklet, I am size 30B, which is a size that […]
Sewing lingerie!
Today I finally tried my hands on lingerie making. I still have to finish the bra but I’m already too excited not to share the pretty panties now! I’ve been wanting to learn to make my own lingerie but always thought that they were too difficult. I’ve made several cotton panties before, but not something as ‘serious’ as bra and lace panties. Until one day, a nice lady named Millie left a comment in one of my post, which led me to to check out her blog, where I found this inspiring post about the basics of bra making. One […]
The week when my internet went down
Our modem had a problem last week, and since it was provided by our apartment developer, my husband called them to ask for a new one. I couldn’t believe when they said it would take almost a week to send a new modem! What would I do without internet for a week? Erm, okay, I had to calm down. So I went to the sewing room. 1. Family boxers I always wanted to sew boxers for my husband, and finally found the perfect pattern for it in a Japanese pattern book that I borrowed from a local library. It went […]
Girl Boxers
Sorry for putting my underwear on display here, but I’m kinda proud of them. I believe this type of underwear is called girl boxer, and I find them very comfortable to wear. But I rarely find one that fit, and two of my girl boxers were stolen when they were hung to dry. Perverts. So I think I’d make them myself. I traced the pattern from a Uniqlo girl boxer that I have, and the fabrics are jersey scraps from another project. Instead of elastic, the waistband are made from long strips of the same fabrics. It can’t be seen […]
