Featured in Sew News!
I’m in a magazine cover! Well, at least my handmade organizers are ^_^ If you can get your hands on the newest (December 2010/January 2011) issue of Sew News magazine, you would see five organizer wallets featured in the cover. They were handmade by me! You can see the cover in the Sew News facebook page here. I was contacted by Ellen March, the editor of Sew News, and she invited me to contribute a tutorial for the December issue. She was interested in my wallet tutorial, and asked me to develop the wallet idea into something new. I began to brainstorm some […]

Hello! I just got interviewed by Sarah Von from yes and yes for her Real Life Style Icons series. You can check out the interview here where I answered her questions about my style. I don’t know about being an icon style though, everyday I still get confused over what to wear and usually end up by wearing the same item over and over again. While you’re at her blog, you should check out her other posts too. Her blog features all these wonderful series and stories about women and their lifestyle. It’s not a craft blog, fashion blog, beauty […]
Etsy front pages and other thing
I just found out that my madras dress and one of these reversible bags were featured in different Etsy front pages a few days ago. There they are, first one on second row and first one on third row! They are my first Etsy front pages, ans since I don’t update my shop too often, I’m pretty happy that some of my stuffs made it to the front page. The screen captures are from the flickr group: Etsy Front Pagers- Treasury Screenshots which have screen captures of most all Etsy front pages. On another note, Sidra said that he wanted […]
Mini wallet tutorial

I really enjoyed making them and the tutorial. The tutorial for the bigger wallets is still in progress, and it will be posted soon when it’s ready! As it would be too long as a blog post, the tutorial is made it into a pdf file that can be downloaded here. Please contact me if you have any difficulty downloading it. This is also my first […]

Featured in German Burda Modemagazin!
A few months ago, I got an email from Burdastyle that they wanted to feature this ‘Sailor-collar jacket and wide-legged pants’ in the German fashion sewing magazine, Burda mode, for a section about fashionable kids creation. So I sent them the picture as requested. This morning, Burdastyle sent me two scanned pages of the magazine in which the sailor jacket is being featured. It’s in Burda Modemagazin, 2/2009 edition. There it is, my son in the page of a German magazine! The text says: “Novita Estitis Junior-Seemannsoutfit ist zwar nicht berufsbindend, aber auf jeden Fall professionel kleidsam.” I don’t know […]
Burdastyle’s Best of 2008 and some more knitting
I just found out today that Burdastyle has published a Best of 2008 album on their photos section, and two of my creations are there! Thank you, Burdastyle! On the other hand, I’m in the middle of two new knitting projects. Yes I’m so greedy. The first one is a scarf in this pretty pattern called Argosy and the other one is a fingerless mittens in beautiful Noro yarn. I found both pattern from Ravelry as usual. I don’t know what I can do without the internet. These two patterns require some new knitting techniques that I’ve never tried. Like: […]
