A quick sewing project from last week. This is a yoga mat bag for my sister in law. The fabric is a gift from lovely Iveta of Wonderosa. You might remember that I’ve made one of them in this dress.
It is just a simple unlined drawstring bag with cotton webbing for straps, my own pattern. The diameter of the bag is quite too big for my yoga mat, but my sister in law had sent the dimension of her bag and it is bigger than mine. I think her mat is thicker. My husband will go to Indonesia this week and bring the bag, I hope it will fit her yoga mat!

What a nice yoga mat. I normally just carry my mat without a bag and your instructions are an inspiration for me to use a bag instead!
Very cool! Your sister-in-law is is so lucky!
your sister in law is going to be the envy of all her yoga buddies :)
Wow, this is so cool! I love the print that you used, as well as the webbing!
I need this !
I love the colours mix. They just say : Hey, take me, your yoga session is tonight. Do not stay at home even if it’s dark and cold outside.
Thanks for the idea.
Great bag! I really like the geometric print of the fabric.. Makes me think that I should make one for my own yoga mat.. How would you feel about a tutorial for this great pattern?
Seconded! I’ve been thinking of making a yoga bag for my extremely heavy yoga mat (it’s all rubber, that’s why) but haven’t gotten to it yet, hehe.
