I’m home!

Boxes are in every rooms and I still couldn’t find all my sewing accessories. But the internet was finally installed yesterday so I’m now connected to the world!

I sew in the dining room now because the room was quite large and the view is beautiful. I wanted to try sewing while standing up to keep the room from too many furniture. So far I don’t have back pain like I used to have when sewing sitting down, so this might be good. But later maybe I might get one of those bar stool to have sitting down option.

The three of us are still in honeymoon stage right now. You know that feeling when you find a place that makes you sigh deeply and say to yourself, oh how I wish I can stay here forever. But this time you really are going to stay.

  2. I am inspired by your sewing space. I don’t have a separate room and have to sew
in my bedroom. Is your bench space specially made for sewing? Also your trolley
stocked with fabrics, etc. and those small boxes (IKEA is it?) have given me additional
ideas of how I might streamline my limited space – it gets frustrating having to sort through
boxes to look for fabric. I also think a narrower, higher sewing table could help both with
saving space and making sewing more comfortable – as does the idea of sitting on a stool
sewing rather than having chair on wheels??

Love your site – I’ve been sewing your reversible bags, wallets, make-up purses and making
button necklaces and rings for a church run shop in South Australia which donates all the proceeds to overseas orphanages. And am endlessly inspired by the beautiful clothes you make. Keep up the inspiring work and I know your new space and home will be such a blessing to you all.

  6. Oh, I’m so happy to hear that you guys are loving your new home! Congrats! And I like the idea of sewing standing up– my back bothers me when I sit hunched over the machine for too long.
