Making bra and panties is a sort of instant gratification for me. They only need little fabrics and don’t need much space for cutting the pattern. And with each lingerie project that I’ve finished, I gained more knowledge on what way is the best for attaching things.
This new set was made with bra and lingerie notions set from Merckwaerdigh. The set has peach lycra fabric with textured swirl pattern, stretch lace in peach and grey, and grey elastics. I especially love the pretty shoulder straps!
The bra pattern is Pin-up Girls Classic Bra #1230, a classic full band bra that can be made with or without underwires. I made mine size 30C with underwires. The panties pattern is Merckwaerdigh Mix25, a new addition in my pattern collection. The panties has lace addition on each front leg.
They would be my last sewing project this year. We’re going out of town for a short getaway next week. Can’t wait to see some snow! Wishing you all a happy holiday!
Bra pattern is Pin-up Girls Classic Bra #1230 from ElingerieA size 30C
Panties pattern is Merckwaerdigh Mix25 (bra, pantie, bodysuit) size S

I enjoy your blog and your lingerie is beautiful and amazing!
Oh wow… I really should make it a goal to look into lingerie making… Well done.
How serendipitous! I have been thinking I’d try taking on the seamless pledge (http://seamlessblog.wordpress.com/the-pledge/) for about three months, and the one thing that was worrying me was underwear… sot’s really comforting to know you can make lingerie for yourself! Is it very hard?
It was not easy but I was surprised that it really wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be! You can start with making panties to get yourself used to sewing elastic and using the stitches. It is really addictive though! :)
Hi Novita,
I accidentally found your blog by browsing around the webs, and love it! Your works are very inspiring, especially your undies collection that inspires me most. I always have an interest on making my own lingerie set, but there was not enough inspiration for me to get on going until I found your blog, with those beautiful pictures, I think I will give it a go now. Thank you very much.
I am -as always- really amazed by your lingerie. Hope I can sew my own bras and panties some day…
We don´t know each other but every time I enter your blog I get a friendly feeling. I think all you make is beautiful, and your blog is so inspiring. Some time ago I downloaded your reversible bag tutorial and I wanted to thank you for your generosity.
I wish you and your lovely family a happy holiday too and the best for the year to come. Poly from the Canary Islands
by the way… my dad is a geologist too :)
Thank you Poly! I’m very happy to know that my little blog can bring a little happiness for you! Wish you a happy holiday!
Absolutely stunning!
Well done!!!
By the way, Merry Xmas to you and your lovely family!
Enjoy!!

Absolutely gorgeous! Love the colours and the combination of fabrics!
I promised myself when I started sewing about five years ago that nothing would scare me, but I have discovered since that lingerie does scare me and I haven’t yet made any. This makes me think I should go back to not being scared :)
