These last couple of days I’ve been working on this little number from the Colette Sewing Handbook. The book was as one of my birthday book gifts from my husband. It is such a gorgeous book!
The fabric is mustard yellow charmeuse found in my favorite local shop that sells cheap out of print/end of bolt fabric. It had a nice sheen, draped beautifully, and was easy to sew. The silvery beige bindings was also made from charmeuse, but it was more flimsy than the yellow fabric so sewing them was quite a challenge.
Unfortunately it is raining the whole day so I’m unable to take proper pictures. More pictures tomorrow, hopefully the sun will be more friendly. In the mean time, maybe I can make a little skirt to go with my new blouse!

I have been hinting to my boyfriend to get me the Colette sewing book for Christmas. However, he is not that great with taking hints, think I’ll have to get it for myself instead. I love that yellow on the top.
I have an Amazon wishlist so he can conveniently take a look and add them to his cart :P
He also bought a Kindle for himself though (-_-)
Love this sunny color!
Lovely! You are making me want this book.
