Just a quick post to tell you that I’ve made a PDF pattern of my reversible bag. It has rounded bottom with a couple of darts on the side. Link for download is at the end of this post. The instruction for making the bag is also available in PDF file, or go to this post to read it in my site. Thanks so much for you pattern and tutorial! Just made my first bag and I love it! I added two pockets on the inside of mine and i also ironed some interfacing to the lining to add a bit of stiffness. I will definatly me making more!
This pattern has been on my wishlist since I found it last year. I finally made a bag for my neice’s 7th birthday at 75% scale today, and it’s just perfect. Thanks for the great pattern, I’m looking forward to making one for myself now!
Hi Novita,
This is an amazing tutorial – it was quick and simple, and very easy to finish. I added a zip pocket to each side of the bag and even got to dig into my stash of chevron fabric. I have posted a link on my blog to your pattern. (http://mel-allwrappedup.blogspot.com.au/2012/03/quick-weekend-craft-project.html)
Thanks again.
This pattern was clear and easy to follow. I made one and now I’m looking forward to the day that I can make another! Thanks

I have a question about the reversible bag. First of all, it’s adorable! :o) I bought some quilted fabric that is soooo cute and it has two different sides. One side has leafs and branches and the other is polka dot, but the colors are the same. I wanted to know if I could make this bag, but my fabric already has two sides, so how would I make it because I don’t need a second pattern since it’s already on the other side. Would I just cut out the pattern and then just stitch it together? Thanks for your time! I can’t wait to try and make this!
Hi Stacy, you can do that but you have to find a way to finish the raw edge around the bag strap and the seam allowance on the bottom and sides of the bag. Maybe you can use binding for the strap and flat-felled seam for the seam allowance. Hope that helps!
I LOVE this pattern. I made it once but because I like larger bags I scaled up the pattern to make a larger bag. The instructions are very clear which for a beginner sewer is always appreciated. Thanks so much!
great pattern! so clear and professional–Thank you!
Hello
The pattern shows two lines a fine one and thick black one. Which line do I use for cutting it out? Thank you B.
The thick one. The fine one is the stitching line.
If one cuts the pattern out on the thick line, the thin line will be totally gone and you will be making your seam inside of the thick line. It would be a very small bag…
I extended the length of the strap for a longer purse. I love it !
What I would do it cut out pattern around the thick line then use the template to mark out the stitch line, cutting out the fabric say 1/4″ wider. Not sure if this is how it was intended though.
what scale do i print pattern at?

Thanks for sharing your reversible bag .I’ve put it on your Flickr group under the name “coquelicot 2010″The only mistake i made was to put batting.it was very difficult to turn inside out.It looks good but next time i won’t.Having 6 grand daughters i’ll probably make more;
