Merckwaerdigh Wings (BHST2) and Harriet bra

Recently Amy from Cloth Habit has just released her newest pattern, the Harriet bra. You’re probably already familiar with her previous pattern, the Watson bra, that is very popular. The Harriet bra is an underwired bra with balconette neckline and 3 piece cup seam. The sizes range is pretty great, from 28A-42H. I think this is the widest size range available in one bra pattern that I have ever encountered. Amy wrote more about Harriet bra in her introduction post here. Black and maroon bra

I was cleaning my sewing room when I found some little pieces of black stretch lace, leftover from my black strappy bra. It was too little for anything but I didn’t want to throw them away yet. So I put together some powernet, elastics, and other bra notions to make a new bra. The pattern is Merckwaerdigh BHST2, which is perfect because it only need very little pieces of lace for the upper cups. The pattern originally has low back that I changed into regular straight back. Fuchsia and black bra set

My current favorite bra at the moment is the bronze bra that I made a couple of months ago. The vertical seams on the cups are quite attractive and they’re comfortable to wear. So here is another pair made with the same pattern, Merckwaerdigh BHST2, I made the second variation that have lace inset. This bra pattern actually has interesting low back design but this time I didn’t want a low back so the band has been altered to simple straight band. Bronze bra and panties set

These are Merckwaerdigh BHST2, underwired bra with low back. The panties patterns are Merckwaerdigh MIX30 and Merckwaerdigh Mix25 that I have used several times before. The set was made with a Merckwaerdigh kit which includes fabrics and all notions, enough for one bra and two panties. Using kit like this is great because I can skip the mix and match step and focus on sewing rightaway. In the original pattern, the cups have no padding.
