Ginger Jeans

I’m sure you’ve known about the famous Ginger jeans pattern by Closet Case Files, I just realized that I’ve never made it. My usual pattern for jeans is Style Arc Sandra jeans pattern, but it is now too small. I only have one size of this pattern since it is the paper pattern form. A good time to try a new jeans pattern! Red Kochi kimono

Hello and happy new year! It’s winter and I’m surrounded by the darks and greys that people are wearing. I thought something bright would make me feel better as I’m still not used to the cold winter, despite having been living here for several years. Rite of Spring Shorts and Kommatia crop top

I was browsing the newest collection on Papercut Patterns’ website when I caught the sight of these shorts. The Rite of Spring Shorts is actually from their old collection, it has been around for several years now. Somehow I have never thought of them before. I happened to have some leftover denim that would be perfect for this pattern! The shorts have a quite flattering detail with the side seams moving forward at the top. Aging jeans

One of my most enjoyable sewing is making jeans. there are so many things that I can love from a pair of handmade jeans. I love the feeling of crisp denim fabric. Sandra jeans and Basic tank

I made a new pair of jeans! Actually they were made a couple of weeks ago, and I have been wearing them a lot ever since. The pattern is Sandra narrow leg jeans by Style Arc, a classic narrow legs jeans with contoured waistband slightly below waist. I love this pattern since I made them last year, the first one that I made get lots of wear. The fabric is dark denim, it has less stretch than the previous jeans so the fit is a bit different. Denim repairs

Apparently not much sewing done in the past couple of weeks. I guess I’d rather stay under the kotatsu than stand in front of my sewing machine feeling cold. I managed to finish a small mending project though. Sometime ago I posted about repairing the pocket lining on my husband’d jeans. Wyome boyfriend jeans – Named patterns

More jeans! After finished making my husband’s jeans, I felt a weird craving to make more jeans. Repairing jeans pockets

I just learned a lesson to always use good pocket lining materials for jeans. When I made these pair of jeans for my husband in 2011, I used quilting cotton for the pocket lining because I liked the print. They didn’t last the abuse that my husband put them through and torn apart after a year. I guess I forgot that men do use their pockets! Selvedge men’s jeans – Full of Patterns 07

Sometime ago I posted that I wanted to make a pair of  selvedge jeans for my husband and have started making the muslin. It turned out that ‘sometime ago’ meant 8 months ago!
