Lesson bag and PET bottle case

Lesson bag and PET bottle case
I made this lesson bag and PET bottle case for Sidra to take to his class excursion. Actually I should’ve made them earlier when he started his school year. He won’t be using them in shogakko (elementary school) next month because I’ve prepared other fabrics to make various bags for his school needs. So I count these as a practice to make the next bags.

The fabrics are leftovers from previous projects. The denim has been used for this pantsthis dress and this apron set , and the striped fabric has been used for this bag and this apron set . There were really not much materials left, so I have no room for mistakes. By the time I finished these two, the leftover were just bits of tiny scraps. I’m happy when it happens!

The PET bottle case is quilted, and so are the straps for both of them. And I think I should’ve quilted the bag too to make it sturdier. On the corner of the bag is Sidra’s drawing of Urutoraman (Ultraman), I scanned and print it to an iron-on transfer paper. These projects were actually pretty quick, only some rectangles (and a pair of circles) put together.

Sidra was very happy to see the bags when he got back from school yesterday. This morning he went off to school with his new bags, they’re going to Sanrio Puroland today and I hope he’s going to have lots of fun!
